Connection Diagram for Uploading VT Pro-e Projects to the ML-500

NOTE: You cannot operate the ML-500 while a file is loading.

NOTE: All of the communication parameters are automatically set when uploading

to the ML-500.

The following table lists the pin assignments for the included serial cable.

The VT Pro-e project file can be uploaded to the remote using VT Pro-e or via the

Crestron Viewport.

Upload via VT Pro-e

1. Start VT Pro-e.

2. Select File | Open | Project to view the “Open” window, navigate to the

VT Pro-e file (.vtp), and click Open.

3. Select File | Upload Project. This automatically selects the compiled .hex

file as shown in the following diagram.

4. Click Upload to open the “ML-500 Transfer” window. If the ML-500 is

connected to the selected serial port, the upload will begin automatically. If

the ML-500 is connected to a serial port other than the selected port, a

message stating, “No device found” will be displayed to the right of the
